Show of Talent!
Calling all talented peoples! We are seeking willing participants to
enthrall the assembled weekend community with various feats of little
known and highly sought talent. MC'd by your 2012 hostesses Hannah Michelle L & Anna Ferrar,
the Show of Talent (formerly known as the Talent Show...hey I gotta
change something) will be staged from the camp amphitheater on Saturday.
Sing, yodel, dance, fly, act and perform your way to fame and
wealth....or at least hearty applause and appreciation. ;)
If you've attended but never participated, this is your year! We need YOUR talents - big, small, serious or zany!
Ready? Here's the lowdown:
** Send a brief description about what your "talent" will be, with approximate performance time.
** Please keep your performance between 5-10 minutes. If you have an idea that requires more time, let us know!
** Space is limited and on a first come, first serve basis. Sign up soon to reserve your spot!
** Microphones, sound system and keyboard will be provided/available.
** Don't be shy! Recruit a friend (or two or four), brush up those
dance moves, pack some props in your suitcases...let's have fun!
Contact me on Facebook or email - smile (@) jesusredeemed (dot) us
Get those thinking caps on - we can't wait to hear from you! The show
is always a highlight of the weekend and we expect this year to be NO
exception!

ATT: Looking for volunteers {and special announcements}
Registration will be opening within the next week or so. For now, I'd like to officially announce a few things--
the Ball
This year we are most likely hosting Scottish Country Dancing (rather then English or a mixture of the two,) or Square Dancing. What is the overall opinion? Still waiting on getting a caller. Details to come soon.
As of now the theme is still undecided. Keep watching this spot.
>somuchplanningsolittletime<
devotions
Looking for {male} volunteers! I have at least one morning (potential) volunteer--2 more slots are open--1 for devotions and 1 for church on Sunday. Please contact me at pnogirl [at] gmail [dot] com for more details.
This year there will be a set theme for devotions. Contact Michaela at the above email address for details.
sports/recreation leaders
Again, looking for 2 or 3 guys to lead/organize sports and recreational activities. This involves planning, teamwork, leading, etc. Be creative! I'll need you to commit to posting updates on the blog and/or the Facebook group page. <ideas> Ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, hiking, soccer, baseball, fishing, camp games, etc. Time is running out--Please contact me at: pnogirl [at] gmail [dot] com.
talent Show
Co-planner Hannah Michelle will be posting in the next couple of days with openings for the 2012 Ohio Summer Rendezvous Talent Show. It has been a privilege to work with Hannah for the past three years--she knows how to have a good time. Keep watching this spot for details, and put your thinking caps on!
laser tag
Waiting to hear back from Pleasant Hill regarding laser tag--it just may be part of the all-new schedule (and will be an optional activity.) HOWEVER, there will be an extra fee. Interested? Yes? No? Trying to get the feel out.

Dance prep
Ok, ppls. There in fact IS a prep dance prepared at 7:15 Saturday night. The actual Ball will be at 7:30 or 8:00. As many as are able should be back down at the lodge around this time IN costume. If your still getting ready and are unable to attend, that's fine...but you'll miss prep. ;) I'm not sure what Don (the caller) has in mind for the intro-class, BUT he told me he now has his list of "fun dances" down to 57 (for the Ball). :P hehe Yes, yes, he's cutting it down. ;)
- We are going to have a BLAST.

Midnight...final deadline
Attention: tomorrow begins The Ohio Summer Rendezvous! If you are STILL interested in attending, but haven't gotten the chance to register, you may until midnight TONIGHT. Please contact me at: pnogirl [at] gmail [dot] com

Saturday *Sports*
I was just perusing the schedule, and noticed that organized (or disorganized, whichever, ;)) sports, (namely, Volleyball and Ultimate) are not on it.
According to the schedule, we've got 'Free for all games' from 1 to 2, (for those not in the talent show, as that is talent show prep time,) and then organized games from 3-5:30.
So, just a note from a concerned OSR'er, wondering if there will indeed be time for the aforementioned games, which were pretty well attended last time. Of course it will depend on number of folks interested, but I was just wondering...
I'm excited! See you all soon!

Statistics*~
Announcement: registration is closed. ****however**** if you are seriously wanting to come, but are undecided, let me know within the next two days, and we will count you in (rather then sending a check, you may bring your $$ directly to the camp.)
We have an awesome group this year! Final statistics are:
38 ppls all together staying at the camp...45 people in all (some - my family and a few parents only paying for meals.)
16 guys
17 gals
{not including parents and my younger siblings}
Not bad, eh? o.O

Scavenger Hunt Update!
Ok folks, just in case you've forgotten, I figured I'd mention again about the AWESOME, AMAZING Photo Scavenger Hunt we're going to have this year! (at least, that's what I'm hoping it'll be ;) )
As I previously mentioned, it'll be a camping theme. You'll have a certain amount of time to take pictures completing all the objectives on the list we'll give you, and the person with the most things done wins! Sample objectives may include photographing your entire team doing some various activities such as: relaxing around a campfire; making a s'more (sans marshmallow); and the perpetual favorite, a team pyramid! (With a fun twist!)
So, as was previously stated, bring your cameras and bring your sense of adventure, cause this will be a fun time for all involved!
