Sports/games suggestions!

First, a quick introduction: my name is Nathanael Brunner, and I'm one of the people who "might be attending" the Rendezvous...if I go, it will be my first time, so most of you have no idea who I am. ;-) Of course, it's probably better that you don't...

Anyway, on to business: we are currently taking suggestions for any sport/game/activity you would like to play during the Rendezvous. Some possibilities have already been mentioned, but feel free to mention anything at all you'd be interested in...within the realms of practicality and sanity. (So sorry, but no blindfolded bungee jumping.) Also, please suggest as many as you want - Top 100 lists would be ideal. ;-)

  3. Gabriel: definitely some good suggestions. But for camps like this, I actually prefer Nine Square instead of Four Square. :D (Yes, really.) What exactly is Prisoner's base?

Nicole: I thought about making some sarcastic comment, but then I realized you might actually be serious about "3 times around the house"...

  4. Ultimate [frisbee], running, rock climbing (bouldering), hiking....do they have water? If so, creek walks and canoeing (or canoe fights :-P )would be fun. I prefer outdoor adventuresome activities or ultimate frisbee. :)

PS- If I may, can I suggest herping (looking for reptiles and amphibians)? ;)

  6. Great suggestions Gabe! - except for maybe the unicycle jousting. :P hehe

    What is Prisoners Base??

Macsgirlag...is that you Marissa? ;) The reptiles gave you away. B-) To answer your question: YES there is water. Canoeing is actually one of our possible options, but there is a fee...what do you think about that??

As far as creek walking...we're going hiking, so if we happen to stumble upon a creek, we can walk in it. ^_^ lol

I'm liking all these suggestions so far! Good work Nathaniel. :)

  7. Prisoner's base is a team "tag" game with safe zones.

If you leave your team's safe zone you can tag anyone who left their team's safe zone before, and people who leave their safe zone after you can tag you.

Once captured, prisoners line up touching the boundary of their opponents safe zone and form a chain to make it easier for friends to free them.

If you are freeing prisoners you can free as many as you can get before being tagged by a "fresher" opponent. if you are able to tag the third person down the line that person and the two in front of them are freed while the rest of the line of prisoners is still caught if you are able to free the prisoner closest to the "base" or boundary the entire line is freed.

It's easier to explain in person.
